The 8th Lagos Fashion Week was an explosive event and every participant can attest to the fact that the LFW just keeps getting bigger.
In the fifth season of Dare2Dream, we opened our modeling category to include male models. It has been gratifying to see these models walk the runway in Nigeria’s biggest fashion event.
Only a few months ago, they were striving young men.
Kelvin, hails from Port Harcourt and had an entrepreneurial mindset. He hoped to create a life of his own when he learned about the Dare2Dream contest.
Olamide, an undergraduate student studying Industrial Design felt he had the look, the interest and the desire to learn- and he took the chance.
Kore; fiercely ambitious and driven by a dream to showcase himself, he travelled all the way to Calabar from Lagos.
Through the Dare2Dream platform, these boys received training that has empowered them to find their places in a highly competitive industry and definitely put them on the radar.
Kelvin walked for Studio 189, Mai Atafo, Orange Culture, Kikoromeo and Maxhosa. Kore, represented Orange Culture, Mai Atafo, Emmy Kasbit, Sisiano, Kelechi Odu, Ugo Monye. Season 5 model winner, Olamide walked for designers, Orange Culture, Emmykasbit, and Mai Atafo.
At Dare2Dream, we celebrate our very own models and we are excited to see what they will do next. One thing is sure; they are rising stars.
